Are you passionate about dance education and eager to inspire the next generation of dancers?

CityDance Conservatory is currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic dance teachers to join our esteemed faculty for the 2024-25 season.

Position: Dance Teacher 

Location: CityDance Conservatory N. Bethesda, MD

Duration: Full-time/Part-time, 2024-25 season

Responsibilities

– Implement an engaging and innovative dance curriculum for students of various ages and skill levels.

– Conduct classes in a variety of dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and more.

– Provide constructive feedback and individualized attention to students to foster their growth and development as dancers.

– Collaborate with fellow faculty members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

– Prepare students for performances, competitions, and auditions as necessary.

– Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school events.

Qualifications:

– Extensive experience as a dance teacher, with a strong background in one or more dance styles.

– Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and connect with students of all ages.

– Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

– Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Physical demands that must be met in order to successfully complete the essential functions of the job:

  • Requires the ability to speak, hear, see and use computer and other office related equipment. 
  • Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Require local and national travel.
