Intermediate Contemporary with GRIDLOCK Dance

About This Class

Designed for intermediate and advanced movers, this class taught by members of the GRIDLOCK Dance Company focuses on feeling connected to the body as a whole, with emphasis on exploring floorwork, dynamic force, and artistic expression. Each class will begin with a guided improvisational warm-up and strength conditioning, progress into technique exercises, and culminate with phrase work or repertoire from the company. Find your flow, explore your artistry, and move in community with us.

The new Winter Session consists of 7 weeks – Monday, November 11, 2024 through Monday, January 13, 2025.

Classes will not be held on the following days:

Fall Break – Monday, November 25, 2024 through Sunday, December 1, 2024
Winter Break – Monday, December 23, 2024 through Sunday, January 5, 2025
MLK Day – Monday, January 20, 2025

The current session runs through Monday, November 4, 2024.

This is an in-person class at CityDance @ Friendship Heights, 5207 Wisconsin Ave NW Washington DC 20015.

Cancellation/Reschedule Policy

If a class has low attendance, it may be subject to cancellation. Cancellation decisions for morning classes will be made by 9pm the night before and for evening classes by 3pm that day. In the event you cannot attend your purchased/scheduled drop-in class, please email adults@citydance.net by 9pm the day before to receive a full credit and/or reschedule your drop-in class. Cancellation emails received after 9pm the night before will receive a 50% class credit. If a cancellation email has not been sent before the start of class, our No Show policy takes effect and you will forfeit the full class credit.
