Creative Movement Fall Semester

ABOUT THE CLASS

Creative movers explore rhythm, coordination, and imagination. Dancers follow a class structure where they learn to listen and follow verbal and musical directions. Little ones build strength and confidence in a welcoming and fun environment. Must be at least age 3 by Sunday, September 15, 2024.

The semester runs Monday, September 16th, 2024 through Monday, January 13th, 2025. Classes will not be held on the following days:

Indigenous Peoples’ Day – Monday, October 14, 2024
Halloween – Thursday, October 31, 2024
Fall Break – Monday, November 25, 2024 through Sunday, December 1, 2024
Winter Break – Monday, December 23, 2024 through Sunday, January 5, 2025
MLK Day – Monday, January 20, 2025.

Please Note: Our classes are designed to be taken over the course of the full school year, culminating in an end of year recital in June 2025. We highly encourage all students to consider the full year option when signing up. Find more info and register for the full year HERE.

Location: This is an in-person class at CityDance @ Friendship Heights, 5207 Wisconsin Ave NW Washington DC 20015.

Class capacity is 12.

Small Class Policy

Classes with 3 or less dancers are considered semi-privates and will be held for a reduced class time of 30 minutes. Once the class builds to 4 or more dancers, classes will resume to the full 45 minute class time.
