Advanced Intermediate Cunningham Technique®

About This Class

Join Brittany Bailey for an official Cunningham Technique® class which develops clarity of form, coordination of torso and legwork, rhythmic accuracy, and spatial awareness.This class features rigorous physical exercises set to challenging tempos and varying rhythms which work to unify the capacities of the mind and body, thereby enhancing the dancer’s access to clear and dynamic movement. In addition to focussing on developing strength and flexibility in the torso and limbs, class will also emphasize techniques for improving balance, postural and spatial awareness, core integration, and neuromuscular control.

The new Winter Session consists of 8 weeks – Friday, November 15, 2024 through Friday, January 24, 2025.

Classes will not be held on the following days:

Fall Break – Monday, November 25, 2024 through Sunday, December 1, 2024
Winter Break – Monday, December 23, 2024 through Sunday, January 5, 2025

 The current session runs through Friday, November 8, 2024.

Location

This is an in-person class at CityDance @ Friendship Heights, 5207 Wisconsin Ave NW Washington DC 20015.

Cancellation/Reschedule Policy

If a class has low attendance, it may be subject to cancellation. Cancellation decisions for morning classes will be made by 9pm the night before and for evening classes by 3pm that day. In the event you cannot attend your purchased/scheduled drop-in class, please email adults@citydance.net by 9pm the day before to receive a full credit and/or reschedule your drop-in class. Cancellation emails received after 9pm the night before will receive a 50% class credit. If a cancellation email has not been sent before the start of class, our No Show policy takes effect and you will forfeit the full class credit.
