Congratulations to CityDance Conservatory Dancers Gisele Sonnier and Logan Byrd on their recent performances in the NAACP ACT-SO competition! The Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) inspires young Black students to expand their horizons and sharpen their skills. Gisele performed a new modern solo by CityDance Conservatory Choreographer-in-Residence Robert J. Priore, for which she received a Gold Medal in Dance: Modern and was invited to move on to the ACT-SO national finals this summer. Logan performed a contemporary solo created by Diana Amalfitano, as well as her classical variation staged by Ballet Master Stanislav Issaev, for which she received Silver Medals in Dance: Contemporary and Dance: Ballet.
