Some dreams take a lifetime to achieve. Some dreams remain dreams. And some dreams are simply too good to remain only dreams…they are meant to be realized. After several years of planning and construction, an expansion of our current campus at the Music Center at Strathmore will open this Fall. CityDance is proud to be the arts partner inside the vibrant new residential/commercial development called Ravel & Royale on Strathmore Square. Located footsteps from the Grosvenor/Strathmore Metro Stop on the Red Line, CityDance’s new 5,500 square foot space includes three new dance studios, an indoor/outdoor performance space, as well as academic study and meeting areas.
Only a brief walk from our current studios in the Music Center at Strathmore, our expanded campus is the result of the combined hard work and dedication of CityDance’s leadership, staff and patrons–effort that has always had, at its core, the needs of our students. Rachel DiLeo, Executive Director, describes it this way,
“The opening of our new space represents the culmination of our strategic goal to create a unified campus that fosters artistic development and empowers our talented dancers to reach new heights. Ravel & Royale, provides us with the ideal environment to embark on our next chapter of growth and excellence.”
Located on the ground floor and surrounded by glass windows, the artistry of the dancers inside these new studios will emanate from inside our space out into the community. The creative ripples of our programs will be a conduit of connectivity through the arts- through community classes, workshops, performances and the work of CityDance and its commitment to its mission to develop the next generation of dance artists and innovators.
