Our young talents from the Sri Lankan Traditional and Folk Dance program at CityDance School & Conservatory performed Thuraga Vannama, choreographed by Asanga Domask, at Sri Lanka’s 72nd Independence Day Celebration, hosted by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Washington, DC this past weekend. This traditional dance pays respect to the bravery of a horse in the battlefield through movement, folk songs and drum rhythms. We are so proud of our young dancers!
